About Me

I have lived in very different worlds: in the world of business, science, art – and in what is probably the most complex of all worlds: a family with three children.

And in all these contexts, I have repeatedly encountered the same question: What really makes people flourish – even when life cannot be planned?

I have experienced many emotions in boardrooms and children's bedrooms, in Paris and Munich, in the arts and in business. And I have realised that it is never circumstances that determine happiness – it is our inner attitude.

This insight did not come suddenly. It developed slowly – in moments when theory met life. For example, when I was working as a management consultant and argued with figures, but felt that the energy of a team cannot be measured in an Excel spreadsheet.

Or when I was doing my PhD on intercultural communication and scientifically analysed how values arise – and then experienced in everyday life with three small children how value and meaning are revealed in completely different things: patience, humour and connection.

I have also experienced entrepreneurship up close – through my husband's company. I have seen how people have to make decisions under pressure and how important psychological security, meaning orientation and trust are for growth to be possible at all.
